On Wednesday 16th October, Mrs. Fletcher’s Class hosted their first show, “Lily and the Albatross” as part of Night Out’s Young Promoters scheme which is organised and partially funded by the Arts Council of Wales.

The children worked closely with Cari Barley and Mrs. Powell to plan, manage and promote the event. The children calculated the ticket costs, directed the performers, designed their own posters, wrote invitation letters to special guests and sold tickets daily.

On the night of the performance:

• the children became stage hands and set up the school hall ready for the performance.

• checked for valid tickets, sold additional tickets, accompanied guests to their seats, sold raffle tickets and refreshments.

The children did a great job organising their first performance!

• £195.00 worth of tickets were sold which contributed to the cost of the performance.
