Visitor Safeguarding Guidelines – Abercerdin Primary School
At Abercerdin Primary School, the safety and well-being of our pupils are our highest priorities. All visitors must adhere to our safeguarding policies at all times during their visit.
Signing In & Identification
- All visitors are required to sign in at the main reception upon arrival.
- You will sign in via our electronic signing system as instructed by a member of our team at reception.
- A lanyard will be issued, which must be worn visibly at all times while on the premises.
- Visitors will be assigned either a red or green lanyard, depending on the nature of their visit.
Red Lanyard Visitors
- Must not engage with pupils during their time on site.
- Contractors must read and sign the asbestos register before commencing any building works.
- Photography is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorised by the Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP).
- Areas designated for pupils are off-limits unless under direct supervision.
- In the event of a fire alarm, visitors must exit the building via the nearest safe exit and gather at the designated assembly point.
Green Lanyard Visitors
- Must familiarise themselves with the school's safeguarding policies.
- Photography is prohibited without prior consent from the Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP).
- In the event of a fire alarm, visitors must leave promptly via the nearest exit and assemble at the designated meeting point.
